I began playing music in 1991 studing piano but my career as a guitar player began in 1993 at 13 years old.
I studied music and sound enginnering at EL BOSQUE university, I graduated in 2005. I also studied music theory at "Sinfonica Juvenil de Colombia", an important music conservatory in my country.
In 2001, I decided to begin with my project as soloist. Now, I have 12 full length studio albums, 5 EP albums and 5 singles.
I´m an official artist from LION MUSIC RECORDS from Finland, the most important instrumental metal label from Europe. They work with artists like Joe Stump (Alcatrazz); George Bellas, Jennifer Batten (Michael Jackson), etc. I have a power metal band (Energema), signed by Metalism Records from Russia; with them we have 5 full length albums and 2 EP Albums.

Between 2010 - 2013 , I played with VORPAL NOMAD like composer, arranger and guitar player. With them we recorded 2 studio albums produced by Piet Sielck (Iron Savior, Blind Guardian).
I have worked with 20 international brands like official artist (Reverend Guitars , Laney, Roland Keyboards, Bullet Cable, Roadie Tuners, Hotone Audio, Valeton Audio, Kodiak Picks, Gokko Audio, E7 Straps, Ibanez Guitars , Dean Guitars , Blackstar Amps, ESP Guitars, Vogel Guitars, Joyo Tech, Snake Picks, Sik Picks, Rotosound Strings, Power Click).
I'm a fan of Metallica, maybe more in the 90´s years than now (Hahaha). I watched videos of Kirk Hammett playing guitar and I think he was a inspiration for me to be a guitar player in my early days. Some time later, I was influenced by Tony MacAlpine, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, Michael Angelo Batio, Jason Becker, Chris Impellitteri, Paul Gilbert....The list is very long!!...
It was a Fender Squier Bullet Series, 1992.
Waooo!...Thats a difficult question, I have more favorite records, but I could name these:
Metallica - Black Album
Rhapsody - Legendar Tales
Dream Theater - Images & Words
Tony MacAlpine - Maximum Security
Nicolas Waldo - Equilibrium
When I played with Tony MacAlpine on his tour in Colombia in 2018...He is a big influence on my sound and to be on the stage with him was a great experience.
Through videos and Live performances.
Now, I have three Reverend Guitars:
- Volcano Series.
- Bayonet Series.
- Warhawk Series.
Like I said in the first question, I worked as an artist with different brands like Ibanez Guitars, Dean Guitars, ESP Guitars, etc but sincerely with Reverend Guitars I have found guitars with impactful sound, they are very comfortable and they're designed with the highest quality. Also, with Reverend I have found a family! They are aware of your needs as an artist ..I love this brand! I look forward to being and artist for another 100 years!
I use the Laney Ironheart (120 Watts) amp and Ampero multieffects pedal by Hotone Audio.
The music is my profession and my hoobie too!...(Hahaha)...OK... I like digital art, I make art through Photoshop (All the Energema and Nicolas Waldo albums cover art was made by me). Also, I love the movies I'm a very big fan of film scoring and enjoy watching movies (Science fiction especially). I love to share with my family, with my wife and my son Liam Nicolas.
The most important thing is to believe in you...work very hard and enjoy the music!
