Can you give us a brief history of your playing career?

I am the child of a musician. My brother plays the guitar, I started when I was about 15, and I taught myself to play by ear by learning the basslines on my favorite recordings. I lived in a live music town, so by 17 I was playing at least 2 nights a week.

What inspired you to start playing guitar?

I play the bass because my brother played guitar and it allowed us to play together.

What was your first electric guitar?

My first bass was a Fender Mustang.

What are your top 5 favorite records?

Dirty Mind by Prince

Fresh by Sly Stone

Revolver by The Beatles

Kind of Blue by Miles Davis

Love Supreme by John Coltrane

 – but I rarely think that way. Next week I will feel completely different.

What was the proudest moment and/or performance of your playing career?

Once I had Bootsy and Larry Graham stand on the side of the stage while I was playing.

How did you hear about Reverend?

I saw reverend at a guitar shop in Santa Monica, and the design caught my eye. Then I played it and really liked the sound.

What Reverend guitar(s) are you using?

My own model, the Decision and the Dub King.

What do you like about your Reverend guitar?

The sound and feel.

What amps and pedals do you currently use?

I use Maleco products – any and all.
