Can you give us a brief history of your playing career?

I started playing professionally in 1974 and I’m still touring. I had bands for a number of years. I have toured mainly with Greg Brown, Lucinda Williams and Pieta Brown.

What inspired you to start playing guitar?

Blues music, Bob Dylan, The Beatles, Johnny Cash, Elvis Presley and my Dad.

What was the proudest moment and/or performance of your playing career?

Spending a day playing songs with Bob Dylan and his band.

Saw a few in guitar stores, got a good vibe, then did some research.

Solid and sounds good.

What amps and pedals do you currently use?

Fender Tweed Pro and Tweed Deluxe. Maxon analog delay, Fulltone Fulldrive, Fulltone Supa-Trem.

I’m not tellin’.

Play from your heart and soul and keep the faith.

I’ve been touring with Greg Brown and Pieta Brown. I released a record called “Stranger Blues” (www.boramsey.com), i produced a record for “The Pines” called “Sparrows in the Bell” due out June 12 on Redhouse Records. I coproduced a record for Pieta Brown called “Remember the Sun” coming out in June on “One Little Indian” (UK) and will be released in the states this coming fall. Also, co-produced a record for Greg Brown called “The Evening Call” available now on Redhouse Records.
