Can you give a brief history of your store?
We opened on 48th Street's "Music Row" in 1978 in a small second floor space of a very old building.
Was there a particular person -- a teacher, another store owner, a
family member or friend, etc. -- who inspired you to go into this business?
I went into this business with my wife of 2 months, Fran.
What instrument(s) do you play personally? Do you have a band?
I play classical guitar & bass guitar. I was a member of a band many years ago playing bass guitar. We recorded an album under the RCA label.
What makes your store different from the average "Big Box" music store?
Our store is still "Mom & Pop" and therefore is more like a family rather than a corporate machine.
What has been your proudest moment as a musical instrument dealer so far?
Serving our customers well has always been most important to us. Our loyal following and good reputation is a great source of pride for us.
How did you hear about Reverend?
We had a few customers ask about the guitars which made us aware of the brand, we got one guitar sent us and we loved it! The rest is history.
What Reverend models do you stock regularly?
The Pete Anderson signature, Gil Parris, Flatroc and The Six Gun.
What do you like about working with Reverend Guitars?
I like the quick response of the company to any question or issue we may have regarding availability, time for special orders etc. And the consistency of guitars that we receive. The come out of the box ready to rock!
What amp brands do you sell? What pedal brands?
We sell Mesa, Carr ,Victoria, 65 Amps, Bogner to name few amps we carry. We also sell many lines of pedals. Such as Fulltone, Z.vex, Eventide, Line 6, Boomerang, Electro Harmonix, Dunlop, MXR, T.C Electronics.
Do you have any unusual hobbies, skills,
or pastimes you'd like to share with us?
I play classical guitar at home and enjoy playing tennis.
