Can you give us a brief history of your
playing career?
Began playing clubs at about fifteen. Recorded an album for Epic
records with my first band in '90, toured the US and UK. Recorded
and toured with the Black Crowes from '91-'97. Played with various
people including Blue Floyd, Chris Stills and many others. Formed
Federale with Luther Russell which got signed to Geffen records
and just prior to entering studio with producer Jack Douglas (John
Lennon, Aerosmith) got dropped with thousands of other bands and
employees. Recorded solo record, It's About Time. Toured and recorded
with Ben Harper including the Grammy & NAACP award winning
There Will Be A Light. Toured again with the Black Crowes on reunion
tour '05-'06. Recorded second solo record Weary And Wired at end
of '06 and have been touring since it's release in March.

A Hondo II Les Paul copy.
What are your top 5 favorite records?
Today they are...

Planet Waves - Bob Dylan
Green Is Blues - Al Green
What was the proudest moment and/or performance
of your playing career?
Sharing a stage with Bob Dylan and the Rolling Stones was good,
but I'd say winning an NAACP award beats that.
How did you hear about Reverend?
I'd seen the ads and thought they looked cool, but never saw
one until Steve Yankee brought some down for the Drive-By Truckers
when they were opening for the Black Crowes.
What Reverend guitar(s) are you using?
I have several but lately i've been partial to the Flatroc and
the Daredevil HB.
What do you like about your Reverend guitar?
They get unique tones and play great. Besides they look very cool.
What amps and pedals do you currently use?
Schreyer Audio and Headstrong amps. Pedals I use depending on
my mood: several different fuzzes and wahs, Analog Man, Cats Eye,
H.B.E., Xotic, BMF, Love Pedals, Reese, and a friend Ryan Feves
has let me be his guinea pig for all sorts of cool stuff. I also
really like the Deep Blue delay by Mad Proffessor.
