RE: Hellhound 40/60 Combo Bright Cap Removal

We've made a small but significant change to the Hellhound circuit. This modification applies to Hellhound COMBO amps only (NOT HEADS) with serial numbers below 00737.
We've removed the bright cap from the gain control. This is the small brown 50pf disc capacitor (#C22) next to the gain potentiometer. It can be clipped out with small wire cutters.

This procedure should be performed by a qualified technician only. It is about a 10 minute job.

The result is a warmer, less bright clean sound. It also allows you to turn up the midrange with less hardness in the clean tone. This change has no significant effect on higher gain settings.
