RE: Guitar circuit updates

In response to player comments, the following circuit changes have been made, resulting in a slightly brighter tone with improved picking response and note clarity. These updates apply to the models shown only.

Spys with serial numbers below 00390, Avengers below 00401, and Roccos below 00200:

1. Remove pickguard screws.
2. Place soft cloth between strings and pickups, to prevent scratching pickups.
3. Lift up tone control side of pickguard. Clip out resistor attached to tone control pot (see figure 1). Be careful not to accidentally clip green capacitor.
4. Re-install pickguard screws and tune up.
5. Re-adjust pickup heights as outlined at Owner's Manuals.

Avenger GTs with serial numbers below 00394. This update does not apply to Avenger GTs with strat size twin blade bridge pickups:

1. Loosen strings and remove pickguard.
2. Remove the wire which runs directly from the tone control pot to the 5-way pickup selector switch.
3. Re-mount pickguard and tune up. Adjust pickup heights as outlined at Owner's Manuals (use Commando GT specs.).

Note: If you do not feel confident doing modifications, take to a qualified technician.
