Anybody besides me have one of these? Even if you don't plan to use it, it's so good it will make you a better person just for owning it and letting it sit there. However..I defy anyone to come up with a more interesting amp for 500 bucks (599 list). If you don't like them, let me know why so I can argue with you.

The Rebel is cool......mid rangey and got sorta Marshall thing going on......But I chose the Vox Night Train and the Blackstar HT-5 head......Using discounts from MF.....I'm pretty clsoe to what you paid and I have huge VOX chime and I'm instantly in Motorhead,Iron Maiden and Dio among others with the Blackstar......So I guess you'll be listing the Rebel in the buy/sell section?

You have a really cool amp and I came really close to buying that lovely head/cab. package........ENJOY and welcome to the forum. Lets argue.

Both of you guys are BAD PEOPLE with NO TASTE and you don't care if you hurt my feelings! That said, I suppose the amps you're using work fine for ya'll. Some other forum thread talked about defining tone and I noticed Naylor chimed in with the perfect post...and I agree with his gear assessment of "if it feels right" completely. At this point, using my particular little pile of filthy stomp boxes, I can get the tone I seem to need from nearly ANY tube "front end" amp...but since the Rebel is my first new amp in a while, I feel I have to vent about it...as my clearly SUPERIOR taste and opinions dictate. However..that VOX does look pretty cool actually...hmmm...but does it come with a cute little padded bag? Well..DOES IT? I win.

Everybody here loves the Egnater Rebel 20 and you must have SUPERIOR taste because you joined this forum.

Kevin O'Connor could use a round of applause for his innovative power scaling, not sure if Egnator is using his or derived their's from his.

I play my 18watt clone and superchamp at the same time for a different kind of tube blending.

I'm sure you'll find someone to argue with around here.

don't feel all alone Wolf....I don't have a Rebel 20 but I do have Tourmaster 4212....killer amp. I've played the rebel 20 and wouldn't mind getting one actually..but with my Hellhound I really don't need another amp.

I am going to need somehting smaller to take to Korea with me though...hmmm...

Truth of the matter is that with three kids in college what else can I afford! I did play one of those amps at GC when they came out and it sure sounded nice through their 12 cab. They did a good job. So many nice things out there. I suppose I could make the kids go to the community college instead.

A lone wolf...isn't that a clich'e? Thanks to the posters who agreed with me...as they are completely right and obviously wonderful human beings. I suppose the key thing about the Rebel 20 is the tube blending..that's really what sold me on the amp..I've owned, among other amps, various Twin Reverbs, a 61 bandmaster, a 60 Deluxe, an early 80's Hiwatt, and a Marshall tube combo (not all at once)..and I could never A/B things accurately to figure out what the power tube differences were (all the above amps sounded completely different anyway). Also, I used various speaker brands until figuring out that I like Celestions...some honking midrange-esque tone thing that pleases me...and chicks dig it. I'm currently running the Rebel through a Marshall 4/10 cabinet..works great.

Oh man, hope you'll still drop in here. Also hope Kim Jong-Il doesn't get crazy while you're there, make that even crazier. Look at it this way, you're headed for the land of Korean guitars.

The Rebel 20 has the features of an innovative and original amp.

My favorite tube tones come from 6V6 and EL84 tubes, so the Rebel 20 having both and having the ability to blend them sounds pretty sweet to me.

This time you can visit the Reverend factory and maybe go on a tour, take some production photos for us. Maybe even get a good deal on a factory second!

Just kidding.... Hopefully it's a short tour, and you can return to where you are now, or maybe bargin for a better place to return to (ask for Hawaii). Good luck.

I have a Rebel 20 and I *love* it! Very versatile -- lots of sweet tones. I especially love it through my Rev 4x10 cab!

OK I just brought my Egnater Rebel 20 home from GC yesterday (read what ya'll had to say so I bought one...why not? If I didn't like it I have 30 days to take it back...hint...it isn't going back) $479 + tax to the governor.
After 2 hours non-stop (ablout all these old fingers can take) I was in love again. In love with this amp and each guitar I played through it. It made me and every guitar sound better and what more could I ask?
Primarily I play my GTGP, sometimes my Rocco and once-in-awhile my Firebrand LesPaul. Each one sounds better through this amp. For the first time I could get a good Strat quack (?)from my GP. It was like a different guitar.
I had been playing thru a Rev Goblin (Avatar 2x12 cab). Maybe it is unfair to compare these amps but...I think the Goblin is gonna get dusty.
I'll see what the next month brings but like I said, I think this amp has found a home.

I'll wait for the new Reverend amp.

Until then, I'll use my Peavey Transtube.
